We’re looking for fantastically festive (individuals, groups, businesses, and organizations) to decorate a tree for the Chester Village ChristmasCelebration of Trees. Our number of trees is limited and our deadline to enter is November 12, 2022

All trees will be on display at the Captain’s House gallery, 33 Central St Chester Festival of Trees Event Saturday, November 26th, and Sunday, November 27th. 10-4 pm

All trees will be entered into our People’s Choice competition and eligible to win the BEST TREE trophy!

All trees will be bid on through Silent Auction with the proceeds going to benefit the Lighthouse Food BankSpecial Sparkle Event

3:30 pm

People’s Choice Award voting deadline.
The ballots are counted and the winner is announced at 4 pm.

4:00 pm

Silent Auction closes, and top bids are declared.

Twelve artificial trees 6.5 ft in height will be supplied.
Successful applicants decorate their trees at the Captains House Gallery.

November 14-23.

Choose your own theme, and create a beautiful tree, either non-traditional or traditional.
Name your tree and theme description, to be included on the Silent Auction sheets.
Lighting must be incorporated into your tree. Any color.
Choose the appropriate weight, size, and quantity of ornaments for a 6.5 ft tree. Secure with
wire to ensure the tree stays decorated when transported by the winning bidder.
Toppers are encouraged but not required. Total height cannot exceed 7 ft.
No tree skirts are required.
Bring your own tools to complete the decorating.

Loose glitter/confetti/sparkles/artificial snow – anything that will shed when the tree is
Edible items, alcohol, or cannabis in any form.
No spraying/painting/hot gluing on-site at the Captain’s House Gallery.


We invite you to be CREATIVE!!! There is no set theme to this year’s event so how you decorate your tree is totally up to you. We look forward to seeing a wide variety of ornamentation and imagination.

We would ask that your tree be submitted with a name and a theme description to be included on our bid sheets.
